Principato di Parrano

Medieval Fiefdom

There are Places you will Remember for Ever and Experiences you will Never Forget. The Principato of Parrano The Principality of Parrano is an ages-old medieval fiefdom with a hamlet that has remained intact over the ages dominated by a castle that protects the surrounding 3,000 acres of uncontaminated terrain.

The historical and archaeological remains found here date to the Paleolithic and Bronze ages, to the times of the Etruscans and to the Roman Era. Parrano has managed to retain the characteristics of its Principality more or less intact, its history can still be sensed in the air and it seems as though time has stood still all these centuries. Here, one is mesmerized by the emotions and sensations of nature as it was thousands of years ago.
Just an hour’s drive from either Rome or Florence, it is located in an ideally central position from which to enjoy all of the beauty offered by both Umbria and Tuscany. More than half of the world’s historical-cultural heritage is within 100km of Parrano – all the rest is scattered about the globe.
